I could not believe my eyes!
The baseball God’s won’t even let us lose in peace.
Last night the Cleveland Indians make history again by being a part of one of the worst blown calls in history.
Detroit’s Armando Galarraga was just one out away from the third perfect game of this year and the second in less than a week, but a blown call by first base umpire Jim Joyce spoiled the celebration.

'Safe? What do you mean safe?
Indians shortstop Jason Donald, whoever that is, was called safe on a ground ball to Detroit first baseman Miguel Cabrera. Galarraga clearly beat Donald to first base as he received the toss from Cabrera. The ump saw something totally different and called him safe. I don’t even think that guy in the Indians uniform even wanted to be safe.
“That’s the nature of the business, that’s just the way it is. The players are human, the umpires are human, the managers are human, the writers are human,” Tigers manager Jim Leyland said. “We all make mistakes. It’s a crying shame. Jimmy’s a real good umpire, has been for a long time. He probably got it wrong.”
Oh…You think?
Now your boy E.P. is an Indians fan, but in situations like that you tend to sway to the side of the guy that is about to make history.
But just as I began to relish in the fact that I was about to watch history in the making, that big dummy called him safe.
Are you kiddin’ me?
I was in total shock for about 2 minutes until I realized, wow I am a fan of Cleveland Sports.
This is what we do. Now we have to be the blame for recording the non-hit that ruined the perfect game for Armando Galarraga.
Despite the call, Galarraga finished with the first complete game and first shutout of his career — a one-hitter — as the Tigers beat the Indians, 3-0.
Why couldn’t you just let us lose in peace……you big dummy!
