| <p>The Blue Jays are 11-18 against left-handed starters after another loss Wednesday to the Rays' David Price. </p>
<p>But when you throw around stats like that it almost makes it sound as if all left-handers are alike.</p>
<p>Price isn't just another left-hander. The Tampa Bay ace is one of the reasons the Blue Jays have such a poor record when the opposition starts a lefty. He owns the Blue Jays.</p> <p>By pitching a strong eight innings Wednesday, he picked up the win when the Rays scored in the bottom of the eighth on Evan Longoria's single.</p> <p>After the 2-1 win at Tropicana Field, Price is 6-0 with a 1.93 earned run average in his career against the Blue Jays.</p> <p>This year alone he is 4-0 against Toronto and has allowed two earned runs in 31 innings in those four starts.</p>... |

| The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled catcher J.P Arencibia from Triple-A Las Vegas and reinstated left-handed pitcher David Purcey from the 15-day disabled list.
